On 24th December 2020, The National Treasury gazetted the Tax laws (Amendment) (No.2) Act 2020. (Act). This was after the President had directed the National Treasury to relook at the preferential tax rates that had been rolled out by the government to cushion taxpayers against the effects of Covid-19 pandemic.
